CARNIVAL committed early to raise the bar and recycle its vessels in a responsible manner, partnering with environmental NGOs and Sea2Cradle on development of a comprehensive ship recycling plan according to EU Ship Recycling Regulation.

While experiencing the challenging water of yard compliance in 2020, their 2022 recycling of CARNIVAL SENSATION & CARNIVAL ECSTASY should be followed by others.

TOOL teamed up with Ocean Bottle & Seatrade, mapping and introducing some of the most inspiring long-term as well as new pioneers and initiatives within environmental & social sustainability, as we present the top list of inspirational Cruise Pioneers!

For every Ocean Bottle sold, 25 lbs of ocean-bound plastic is collected before it reaches our oceans. With over 13,620,434 kg of ocean-bound plastic already collected, Ocean Bottle has made a significant impact, yet they're far from finished. So let´s get global cruise onboard their wave, partnering for change!
