TOOL Advisory Board: Jan Peder Myklebost

We are extremely excited to announce that Jan Peder Myklebost has joined the TOOL Advisory Board, adding extensive competence & insight on logistics.

Jan Peder is Head of Shipping and Inbound Logistics for Norsk Hydro. Before joining Norsk Hydro he was 10 years with Höegh Autoliners where his last position was Managing Director for Höegh Autoliners Shortsea Americas based in Panama. Prior this he was Deputy Managing Director for Euro Marine Logistics (JV between Höegh Autoliners and MOL) based in Belgium. From 2012-2015 he was Head of Operations, Region Europe and Oceania for Höegh Autoliners.

He has also served as Head of Global Cargo Handling and Port Captain (Supercargo). Prior joining Höegh Autoliners he sailed as 1stofficer onboard the RoRo vessels of Wilh. Wilhelmsen. He started his seagoing career as Navigational Officer onboard Minesweepers for the Royal Norwegian Navy.

Jan Peder Myklebost is educated as a Naval Officer in the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy with a Bachelor degree in Military leadership and Navigational studies (Master Mariner education). He also holds a Master degree in Maritime Law from the University of Oslo, Norway. He has been a keynote speaker in various conferences in addition to Guest lecturer for BI Norwegian Business School and University College of Southeast Norway during 2013-2015. Mr. Myklebost is Board Member of Shipping & Offshore Network in addition to being a Mentor in the WISTA Norway mentor program.
