Danish Established Actors: Ocean and Renewables

The Danish Ecosystem

Denmark has become an innovation leader putting in place significant climate action into their political and economic infrastructure. Their policymaking has resulted in cutting their CO2 emissions by half since their peak in 1996 by significantly reducing the use of coal and replacing it with cleaner sources of energy such as wind and solar power. Denmark is a leader in wind power and currently generates almost half of its energy from wind and is putting in a significant investment in solar power farms too. The country's deeply seeded roots in agriculture and fishing have paved the way for sustainable innovation within these industries making Denmark a pioneer in promoting sustainability.  At TOOL, we have extensively mapped Danish companies within ocean and renewables industries on our interactive map.

In this article you can discover established companies that are pioneering change across Denmark's industries and are working to make ocean use sustainable, protect marine life and decarbonize our planet!
