Norwegian Electric Systems - apply by 1 April 2024: We are seeking a Leading Role in Autonomous Vessel Operations who will be a key player in the development of our autonomous vessel solutions. You will be responsible for leading and shaping the direction of our system designed to automate vessel operations. This system will play a central role in data exchange and transitioning parts of operations to land-based control. Here's what we're looking for: Responsibilities: Development and Strategy: You will be in charge of defining and implementing strategies for automated operations. This includes identifying opportunities, evaluating technologies, and guiding the team towards achieving the objectives. Product Management: You will lead the product's development, ensuring continuous progress. This involves understanding the users and defining functionality based on their needs. You will stay informed about standardization work, follow industry organizations, and actively participate in them. Team Leadership: You will lead a team of experts in automation, programming, and user interface. Your ability to motivate, collaborate, and inspire will be crucial. Technical Competence: You should have a strong understanding of IT systems, cyber security, and automation. You should have experience in programming and system architecture, and you should be willing to engage in some of the development work yourself, or you may have significant operational experience from vessels combined with a strong technical interest. Qualifications: Higher Education: A relevant bachelor's or master's degree in technology, computer science, nautics, or similar. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in product development, automation, or similar. Team Player: The ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with various team members.
