TOOL 500 Female Founders: The Nordics!
After sharing the regional lists of women entrepreneurs who made our Global 500 List of Female Founders in Ocean & New Energy, it´s finally time to congratulate and celebrate the women from our own corner of the world - The Nordics!
The Nordic region united is equivalent to the 6th largest economy of the world, and with very different strengths and capacities across the individual countries, we´ll claim that it´s a small but pioneering global centre of excellence for driving clean transition across ocean & new energy sectors.
The Nordic model also represent something different when we look at building industries & societies for the future; as the development of new sustainable solutions and physical infrastructure innovations go hand in hand with inclusive social sustainability. We believe in a future where humans across gender, cultures & backgrounds are represented in the development, ownership and entrepreneurship - so that we build a world that is designed not only for one part of its people.
On our first Nordic list, 5 countries are represented, with 57 organisations with women founders. We´ve already started getting more nominations - and will be super excited to see which other founders that will get onboard for the Global 1.000 list, which we will launch with a BIG splash during UN Ocean Conference and the 1000 Ocean Startups program in Nice next June - and a pre-launch during the 60th anniversary of Norway´s internationally leading maritime week the week before.
We welcome all of you to join us in the upcoming work of TOOL in connecting and accelerating the power of global female entrepreneurship in our global and still very male dominated industries - focusing on glocal collaboration, with a quirky Nordic flavour.
