Who´s who on the Global 500 List? We are proud to present our global list of inspirational female founders of ocean & new energy sectors for 2024, covering bold, powerful and inspiring founders from 100 countries across all continents.

We are paying extra tribute and recognition to the extra-ordinary female founders building their ventures in countries struggling with crisis, war and conflicts. Solutions for our shared future require borderless collaboration, and while women across all of these countries and territorries are extra vulnerable during conflicts, we also know that they hold an essential role in building back better.

You´ll find that some founders have left the company and entrepreneurial life for now, sold or closed their company, yet are still eligible for our list, as we admire their achievements.

The founders are found across commercial and hardware, to social enterprises and NGOs. From nuclear to solar and wave, across aquaculture and new ocean-based materials, zero emission maritime and ocean protection.

We feature women across all different generations, some just out of their late teens, others in their midlife prime, and our deepness Sylvia Earle turns 90 next year.

Our global list showcase the true diversity of female entreprenurship across different cultures, backgrounds and segments. What unites all of them is how they represent challenging status quo, building change in male dominated industries - representing great sources for mentoring & experience sharing for others.

We wish to show girls and women worldwide, that any of us can take the helm and become an entrepreneur, building global solutions beyond borders for a better future. We also wish to inspire women to team up with existing founders.
